Ryan Rollins, LMSW - Clinical
I’m Ryan Rollins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker—a Black woman, a mother, and a soul-centered therapist. I was raised in Brooklyn, New York, shaped by both the grit of the city and the warmth of the Caribbean culture that surrounded me. Before I had the credentials, I had the calling. I’ve always been drawn to understanding people—their pain, their patterns, and their power to heal.
I specialize in helping individuals recover from insidious, hard-to-name trauma—including covert narcissistic abuse, spiritual gaslighting, childhood emotional neglect, and complex PTSD. My work also extends to workplace trauma—supporting professionals who have endured microaggressions, chronic invalidation, burnout, exploitation, or toxic leadership within professional settings. Whether the harm occurred at home, in love, or at work, I help clients process the emotional residue that lingers when they’ve had to stay composed in environments that eroded their safety.
Many of the people I work with are recovering from narcissistic relationships, emotionally immature or narcissistic parents, or wrestling with the deep ache of the mother, father, or sister wound. Others come to therapy after years of people-pleasing, perfectionism, and self-silencing in workplaces that demanded performance but punished authenticity. I also support clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and interpersonal challenges that impact connection, self-worth, and belonging.
I earned my Associate’s in Education from Kingsborough Community College, followed by a Bachelor’s in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare from Medgar Evers College (CUNY). After relocating to Michigan in 2016, I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Wayne State University, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Clinical Orientation
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Reality-Based Therapy—centered in truth, clarity, and emotional accountability. I integrate evidence-based and holistic modalities including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Psychoanalytic Theory, Family Systems, Inner Child Work, Attachment Theory, Somatic Awareness, Parts Work (IFS), and Trauma-Informed Care.
My work is integrative, intuitive, and deeply respectful of the soul’s wisdom. I don’t just work from a treatment plan—I work from the soul.
I offer individual, couples, and family therapy, as well as spiritual and integrative services such as soul integration sessions and intuitive coaching. Clients often describe my presence as authentic, engaging, and grounding. I create space where people feel safe to unpack what’s been buried under survival mode—and start the journey home to themselves.
Whether you’re seeking traditional therapy, workplace trauma recovery, or soul-centered support that blends spirituality with clinical depth, I offer a range of virtual services to meet you where you are.
All sessions are currently offered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual platform. I serve clients across Michigan, New York, and New Jersey, depending on licensure and insurance guidelines.
